Michelle grew up in Frankfort, Illinois, and moved to Bloomington-Normal when she attended Illinois State University. She graduated in 2003 with an English degree which focused on technical communication and editing. While there, she participated in InterVarsity, began attending Christ Church, and met her husband, Tyler. They married one year after graduating. She worked as a technical editor at State Farm for five years and spent the next 14 years at home raising three children. The past twenty years at Christ Church has involved serving on the Women’s Ministry Team, leading Bible studies, kGroups, volunteering with the nursery and junior high, and participating in several committees. When the opportunity arose to be employed once again and at Christ Church, she was excited to use her gifting and experience to serve the body of Christ. She loves the Lord and is in constant awe of his magnificent greatness, intimate closeness, and redemptive mercy. While not working, you’ll find her shuttling her kids all across town and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen to (hopefully) delight friends and family.
