Bob is from Ogden Dunes on Lake Michigan, and is the youngest of six children. His childhood included friends, sports, campfires on the beach, and sailing. He attended Purdue University, where in his final year, he fell to his knees in repentance and trusted his life to Jesus Christ. Soon after, he met and married Karen who shared a heart for Christ, raising a family, and serving in ministry. Bob served on college campuses until he entered seminary. The focus of his PhD work was Jonathan Edwards. He has years of experience in preaching, writing, discipling, counseling, and speaking on spiritual formation through the gospel. He is active in speaking engagements and missions. Bob and Karen raised five children and are blessed by 15 grandchildren.
