“Seek the welfare of the city…and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7
A prayer leader from a local church has started a community prayer initiative called “One Church – One Day.” The goal of this prayer opportunity is to have a church-led, year-round, strategic prayer in order to cover our community in prayer. The leader is asking the Christ-honoring churches in McLean County to cover one 24-hour period one day per month.
This is an exciting opportunity for our church to join other churches in praying for our community. Our church has signed up to take the fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning on Tuesday, April 27, and continuing every month.
We invite individuals, couples, and families to pray on their own. There will not be any meetings to attend. We will begin by covering 12 hours of our day from 8:00am to 8:00pm. CLICK HERE to sign up for a 30- minute prayer slot. Or if you would like to pray for an hour, please sign up for two 30-minute slots. A prayer guide will be included each month to help us pray in unity with other churches as we pray for our community. Some possible prayer points from the prayer guide include: praying for local churches, families, our local government, healthcare, businesses and other aspects of our community.
Please consider joining us to pray for McLean County!
